David's professional career began as a research scientist at the Center for Blood Research in Boston focusing on the MHC of genetically engineered mice. After receiving his master's degree from Sloan, he joined MIT's Office of Corporate Relations where he spent a decade connecting industry with research at MIT. David then became Manager of International Sales and Business Development at Xerox Adaptive Products which was sold in 1997. Since then he has helped found two businesses in technology consulting and third party marketing in the financial services industry. David is a co-founder of the Hub Angel Investment Group. He was educated at Bowdoin College (AB 1983) and the MIT Sloan School of Management (SM 1987). Born and raised in Maine, David now lives in Carlisle, MA with his wife and their two children. He is an adventure skier and frustrated golfer.
Charlie brings over 20 years of management consulting, marketing and business development experience to Hub Angels. This includes extensive consulting, board work, mentoring and coaching with early stage companies. In addition, he is a VP of Strategy and Development at Cooley, Godward Kronish, LP. This provides a global lens into early stage, VC and private equity deals. During the past decade Charlie has built an extensive network of entrepreneurs, VCs, angel groups, bankers, lawyer and accountants. These provide a rich source of support for portfolio companies. In addition, he is actively involved with research on angel investing through research and teaching at Harvard Business School, MIT, BC Law School, BU School of Management, Darden Business School, Univ. of VA, and Babson College. Charlie has an MBA, MIT, an MPH, Harvard University, and a BA, Economics-honors, Phi Beta Kappa, University of Massachusetts.
